1. भारतीय मानक आईएस 19412:2025 – अगरबत्ती विनिर्देशन
उपभोक्ता मामले, खाद्य एवं सार्वजनिक वितरण मंत्री प्रल्हाद जोशी ने भारतीय मानक ब्यूरो (BIS) द्वारा तैयार भारतीय मानक आईएस 19412:2025 – “अगरबत्ती – विनिर्देशन” जारी किया।
नए अधिसूचित मानक में अगरबत्तियों में कीटनाशक रसायनों और कृत्रिम सुगंधित पदार्थों के उपयोग पर प्रतिबंध लगाया गया है, जो मानव स्वास्थ्य, घरेलू वायु‑गुणवत्ता और पर्यावरण के लिए हानिकारक हो सकते हैं।
आईएस 19412:2025 में प्रतिबंधित पदार्थों में एलेथ्रिन, परमेथ्रिन, साइपरमेथ्रिन, डेल्टामेथ्रिन और फिप्रोनिल जैसे कीटनाशक रसायन तथा बेंजाइल साइनाइड, एथिल एक्रिलेट और डाइफेनिलामाइन जैसे कृत्रिम सुगंधित यौगिक शामिल हैं।
इनमें से अधिकांश पदार्थ अंतरराष्ट्रीय स्तर पर प्रतिबंधित हैं, क्योंकि इनसे इनडोर वायु‑गुणवत्ता व पारिस्थितिकी पर विपरीत प्रभाव पड़ सकता है।

2. सुशासन सप्ताह – ‘प्रशासन गांव की ओर’ 2025 अभियान
सुशासन सप्ताह 2025 के तहत आयोजित ‘प्रशासन गांव की ओर’ अभियान 25 दिसंबर को सफलतापूर्वक संपन्न हुआ।
इस अवसर पर नई दिल्ली में सुशासन सप्ताह कार्यक्रम का आयोजन किया गया।
25 दिसंबर 2025 को सिविल सेवा अधिकारी संस्थान (CSOI), नई दिल्ली में सुशासन प्रथाओं पर राष्ट्रीय कार्यशाला आयोजित की गई थी।
कार्यशाला में विभिन्न मंत्रालयों एवं राज्यों की परियोजनाओं को साझा किया गया जो नागरिक‑केन्द्रित पारदर्शी प्रशासनिक सुधारों और डिजिटल नवाचार पर केंद्रित थीं।

3. वीर बाल दिवस 2025
वीर बाल दिवस प्रतिवर्ष 26 दिसंबर को मनाया जाता है, गुरु गोविंद सिंह जी के दो सबसे छोटे पुत्रों—साहिबजादा जोरावर सिंह जी और साहिबजादा फतेह सिंह जी—की शहादत के सम्मान में।
यह दिन भारत के बाल नायकों की अदम्य साहस, बलिदान और उच्च मूल्यों की स्मृति में मनाया जाता है।
इसका उद्देश्य युवाओं में त्याग, राष्ट्रभक्ति और धर्मनिष्ठा की भावना को प्रेरित करना है।

4. नई खगोलीय खोज – टी. चैमेलियोन्टिस (T Cha) तारा
खगोल वैज्ञानिकों ने टी. चैमेलियोन्टिस (T Chamaeleontis / T Cha) नामक एक असाधारण तारे की खोज की है जो एक ग्रह‑निर्माण डिस्क (protoplanetary disk) से घिरा हुआ है।
इसकी डिस्क में एक चौड़ा अंतराल पाया गया है, जो संभवतः एक नवजात ग्रह द्वारा निर्मित है।
सामान्यतः ऐसी डिस्क का घना आंतरिक भाग तारे के पराबैंगनी प्रकाश को बाहरी क्षेत्रों में पहुँचने से रोकता है।
इस तारे की विशेषता है कि यहाँ पॉली‑एटोमिक हाइड्रोकार्बन (PAH) जैसे जटिल हाइड्रोकार्बन अणु—जो जीवन की रसायन शास्त्र के प्रारंभिक अग्रदूत माने जाते हैं—को सूर्य जैसे कम द्रव्यमान वाले तारों के आस‑पास पहली बार विशिष्टता से पहचाना गया।
यह अवलोकन जीवन‑संबंधी अणुओं के निर्माण‑विकास को समझने में एक नया खगोलीय अध्याय है।

1. Indian Standard IS 19412:2025 – Specification for Agarbatti
Union Minister for Consumer Affairs, Food & Public Distribution Pralhad Joshi released the Indian Standard IS 19412:2025 – “Agarbatti – Specification”, developed by the Bureau of Indian Standards (BIS).
The standard was launched on National Consumer Day 2025 at Bharat Mandapam, New Delhi.
The newly notified standard prohibits the use of certain pesticides and synthetic aromatic compounds in agarbattis that could harm human health, indoor air quality, and the environment.
The restricted substances listed under IS 19412:2025 include pesticide chemicals such as allethrin, permethrin, cypermethrin, deltamethrin and fipronil, and artificial aromatic compounds like benzyl cyanide, ethyl acrylate and diphenylamine.
Many of these are already banned internationally due to their adverse effects on air quality, human health and ecological balance.

2. Good Governance Week – “Prashasan Gaon Ki Ore” 2025 Campaign
Under the “Good Governance Week (Sushasan Saptah) 2025”, the nationwide campaign “Prashasan Gaon Ki Ore” concluded successfully on 25 December 2025.
A central event was organised in New Delhi, culminating in the National Workshop on Good Governance Practices held at the Civil Services Officers’ Institute (CSOI).
The workshop showcased best practices and reforms implemented by various ministries and states, focusing on citizen-centric service delivery, transparency, and digital administrative innovations to strengthen governance.

3. Veer Bal Diwas 2025
Veer Bal Diwas is observed every year on 26 December to pay homage to the two youngest sons of Guru Gobind Singh Ji – Sahibzada Zorawar Singh Ji and Sahibzada Fateh Singh Ji – who sacrificed their lives for their faith and principles.
The day commemorates the courage, sacrifice, and high moral values of India’s young heroes.
It aims to inspire India’s youth with ideals of bravery, righteousness, and devotion to the nation.

4. New Astronomical Discovery – The Star T Chamaeleontis (T Cha)
Astronomers have identified an extraordinary star named T Chamaeleontis (T Cha), surrounded by a planet-forming circumstellar disk (protoplanetary disk).
The disk contains a wide gap likely carved out by a forming planet, indicating active planet formation.
Normally, dense inner regions of such disks act as shields, blocking far-UV light from reaching the outer cooler areas.
However, observations reveal polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons (PAHs) – complex carbon-hydrogen molecules and precursors to organic chemistry linked to life – in the surrounding region.
This marks one of the first detections of such molecules around a low-mass, Sun-like star, adding valuable insight into early chemical pathways of life formation in planetary systems.
