1. किम्बरली प्रक्रिया की अध्यक्षता – भारत
किम्बरली प्रक्रिया की पूर्ण बैठक में भारत को 1 जनवरी 2026 से किम्बरली प्रक्रिया (Kimberley Process – KP) की अध्यक्षता के लिए चुना गया।
किम्बरली प्रक्रिया एक त्रिपक्षीय व्यवस्था है, जिसमें सरकारें, अंतरराष्ट्रीय हीरा उद्योग और नागरिक समाज शामिल हैं; इसका उद्देश्य उन “कच्चे हीरों” के वैश्विक व्यापार को रोकना है जिनका इस्तेमाल विद्रोही समूह या उनके सहयोगी संयुक्त राष्ट्र सुरक्षा परिषद द्वारा मान्यता प्राप्त वैध सरकारों को कमजोर करने वाले संघर्षों को वित्तपोषित करने के लिए करते हैं।

2. कार्मिक एवं प्रशासनिक सुधार – डिजिटल पहलें
पूर्व सैनिकों के लिए आरक्षण संकलन, कृत्रिम बुद्धिमत्ता आधारित भर्ती उपकरण, e‑HRMS 2.0 ऐप, iGOT AI प्लेटफॉर्म और Karmayogi Digital Learning Lab 2.0 जैसी कई नई पहलें शुरू की गईं।
इन पहलों का उद्देश्य मानव संसाधन प्रबंधन को पूर्णतः डिजिटल बनाना, भर्ती में पारदर्शिता बढ़ाना, कौशल‑आधारित प्रशिक्षण को बढ़ावा देना और पूर्व सैनिकों सहित कर्मचारियों को बेहतर अवसर एवं सेवाएँ उपलब्ध कराना है।

3. संथाली में भारतीय संविधान का विमोचन
राष्ट्रपति द्रौपदी मुर्मु ने 25 दिसंबर 2025 को राष्ट्रपति भवन, नई दिल्ली में संथाली भाषा में अनूदित भारतीय संविधान का विमोचन किया।
यह विमोचन सुशासन दिवस और पंडित रघुनाथ मुर्मु द्वारा 1925 में ओल‑चिकी लिपि के विकास की शताब्दी वर्ष के अवसर पर हुआ; संथाली संविधान पाठ को विधि एवं न्याय मंत्रालय के विधायी विभाग द्वारा पहली बार प्रकाशित किया गया है, जो भाषाई‑जनजातीय समावेशन की दिशा में महत्त्वपूर्ण कदम है।

4. संसद खेल महोत्सव – आगरा
21 से 25 दिसंबर तक आगरा में संसद खेल महोत्सव आयोजित किया जा रहा है।
पाँच दिवसीय इस आयोजन में 33 से अधिक टीम और व्यक्तिगत खेल स्पर्धाओं में हजारों स्थानीय निवासी भाग ले रहे हैं, जिससे जन‑भागीदारी, फिटनेस और खेल संस्कृति को बढ़ावा मिल रहा है।

5. LVM3‑M6 प्रक्षेपण – सबसे भारी उपग्रह
एलवीएम3‑एम6 का सफल प्रक्षेपण भारत की अंतरिक्ष यात्रा में एक महत्वपूर्ण मील का पत्थर है।
इस प्रक्षेपण के माध्यम से भारतीय प्रक्षेपण स्थल से अब तक का सबसे भारी उपग्रह – अमेरिका का Blue-Bird Block‑2 – उसकी निर्धारित कक्षा में स्थापित किया गया, जिससे भारत की भारी प्रक्षेपण क्षमता और वाणिज्यिक लॉन्च बाज़ार में विश्वसनीयता और मजबूत हुई।

6. विशेष हथकरघा प्रदर्शनी – “साड़ी महोत्सव”
वस्त्र मंत्रालय के सहयोग से राष्ट्रीय हथकरघा विकास निगम (NHDC) द्वारा नई दिल्ली के जनपथ स्थित हथकरघा हाट में विशेष हथकरघा प्रदर्शनी “साड़ी महोत्सव” आयोजित की जा रही है।
यह प्रदर्शनी 20 दिसंबर 2025 से 2 जनवरी 2026 तक प्रतिदिन सुबह 11 से रात 8 बजे तक जनता के लिए खुली है, जिसका उद्देश्य देशभर की विविध साड़ी परंपराओं को बढ़ावा देना, हथकरघा बुनकरों को बाज़ार उपलब्ध कराना और “वोकल फॉर लोकल” और “हैंडलूम टू ग्लोबल” दृष्टि को मजबूत करना है।

7. सुशासन प्रथाओं पर राष्ट्रीय कार्यशाला – 5वाँ संस्करण
केंद्रीय मंत्री डॉ. जितेंद्र सिंह (विज्ञान एवं प्रौद्योगिकी, पृथ्वी विज्ञान, PMO में राज्य मंत्री; कार्मिक, लोक शिकायत एवं पेंशन; परमाणु ऊर्जा और अंतरिक्ष विभाग) 25 दिसंबर 2025 को नई दिल्ली स्थित सिविल सेवा अधिकारी संस्थान में सुशासन प्रथाओं पर राष्ट्रीय कार्यशाला का उद्घाटन करेंगे।
यह सुशासन प्रथाओं पर पाँचवीं राष्ट्रीय कार्यशाला है और प्रत्येक वर्ष 19–25 दिसंबर के बीच मनाए जाने वाले सुशासन सप्ताह की प्रमुख गतिविधि के रूप में आयोजित की जाती है, जिसका उद्देश्य प्रशासनिक सुधार, नागरिक‑केन्द्रित शासन और सर्वश्रेष्ठ प्रथाओं का साझा करना है।

8. सुबनसिरी लोअर जलविद्युत परियोजना – यूनिट‑2 संचालन
केंद्रीय विद्युत, आवास एवं शहरी कार्य मंत्री मनोहर लाल ने वर्चुअल माध्यम से 2000 मेगावाट (8×250 MW) सुबनसिरी लोअर जलविद्युत परियोजना की यूनिट‑2 (250 MW) के वाणिज्यिक परिचालन का उद्घाटन किया।
मंत्री ने इसे तकनीकी उपलब्धि के साथ‑साथ वर्षों की मेहनत और टीम‑वर्क का परिणाम बताया; यह परियोजना स्वच्छ एवं सतत ऊर्जा के प्रति भारत की प्रतिबद्धता, उत्तर‑पूर्व भारत के विकास, राष्ट्रीय ग्रिड की मजबूती तथा नेट‑जीरो उत्सर्जन लक्ष्य की दिशा में महत्वपूर्ण योगदान देती है।

9. आईएनएसवी कौंडिन्य – प्राचीन पाल नौका की ऐतिहासिक यात्रा
भारतीय नौसेना का प्राचीन पाल विधि से निर्मित अग्रणी नौकायन पोत आईएनएसवी कौंडिन्य 29 दिसंबर 2025 को अपनी पहली समुद्री यात्रा पर रवाना होगा।
यह पोत गुजरात के पोरबंदर से ओमान के मस्कट तक समुद्री यात्रा करते हुए उन ऐतिहासिक हिंद महासागरीय व्यापार मार्गों को पुनः जीवित करेगा, जिन्होंने सहस्राब्दियों से भारत को व्यापक हिंद महासागर विश्व से जोड़ा, और भारतीय जहाज़ निर्माण तथा समुद्री परंपराओं की निरंतरता का प्रतीक बनेगा।

10. आकाश‑NG मिसाइल प्रणाली – उपयोगकर्ता मूल्यांकन परीक्षण
रक्षा अनुसंधान एवं विकास संगठन (DRDO) ने आकाश‑NG (Next Generation) मिसाइल प्रणाली के उपयोगकर्ता मूल्यांकन परीक्षण (User Evaluation Trials – UET) सफलतापूर्वक पूर्ण किए।
इन परीक्षणों में आकाश‑NG मिसाइलों ने निम्न ऊँचाई, लंबी दूरी और उच्च ऊँचाई सहित विविध दूरी‑ऊँचाई संयोजनों पर स्थित हवाई लक्ष्यों को अत्यधिक सटीकता से मार गिराया, जिससे यह स्पष्ट हुआ कि नई प्रणाली वायु रक्षा के लिए अधिक रेंज, बेहतर प्रतिक्रियात्मक क्षमता और आधुनिक हवाई खतरों के विरुद्ध उन्नत सुरक्षा प्रदान करेगी।

11. “एआई का महाकुंभ” – नई दिल्ली में राष्ट्रीय सम्मेलन
नई दिल्ली में एआई विकास पर राष्ट्रीय सम्मेलन “एआई का महाकुंभ” आयोजित किया गया।
इस सम्मेलन का उद्देश्य नीति‑निर्माताओं, उद्योग, स्टार्ट‑अप, शिक्षाविदों और शोधकर्ताओं को एक मंच पर लाकर कृत्रिम बुद्धिमत्ता के विकास, नियमन, नैतिक उपयोग, रोजगार और कौशल पर इसके प्रभाव तथा भारत‑केंद्रित एआई पारिस्थितिकी तंत्र के निर्माण पर चर्चा को आगे बढ़ाना है।

(1. India to Chair Kimberley Process from 1 January 2026
India has been selected to assume the Chair of the Kimberley Process (KP) with effect from 1 January 2026.
The Kimberley Process is a tripartite initiative involving governments, the international diamond industry and civil society, aimed at preventing the trade in “conflict diamonds”—rough diamonds used by rebel movements or their allies to finance conflicts that undermine legitimate governments as defined by UN Security Council resolutions.

2. New Governance and HR Tech Initiatives
A set of digital governance tools was launched, including: Reservation Compilation for Ex-Servicemen, an AI-based recruitment tool, the e-HRMS 2.0 app, the iGOT AI platform, and Karmayogi Digital Learning Lab 2.0.
These initiatives seek to digitise government human resource management, enhance transparency and efficiency in recruitment, and scale continuous skill development and career progression, with particular support for ex-servicemen and civil servants.

3. Constitution in Santhali Language Released
President Droupadi Murmu released the Santhali-language translation of the Constitution of India at Rashtrapati Bhavan, New Delhi, on 25 December 2025.
The event coincided with Good Governance Day and the centenary of Pandit Raghunath Murmu’s development of the Ol Chiki script in 1925; this is the first time the Santhali version has been officially published by the Legislative Department, Ministry of Law and Justice, marking a major step towards linguistic and tribal inclusion.

4. Sansad Khel Mahotsav in Agra
The Sansad Khel Mahotsav is being organised in Agra from 21 to 25 December.
Over five days, thousands of residents are participating in more than 33 team and individual sports events, promoting fitness, community engagement and a sports culture at the constituency and local levels.

5. Successful Launch of LVM3-M6 with Heaviest Satellite
The LVM3-M6 mission marked a proud moment in India’s space journey.
Through this launch, **the heaviest satellite ever launched from Indian soil—USA’s BlueBird Block-2—**was successfully placed into its designated orbit, reinforcing India’s capability in heavy-lift launches and its position in the global commercial launch market.

6. “Saree Festival” Handloom Exhibition at Janpath
With support from the Ministry of Textiles, the National Handloom Development Corporation (NHDC) is organising a special handloom exhibition, the “Saree Festival”, at Handloom Haat, Janpath, New Delhi.
The exhibition is open to the public from 20 December 2025 to 2 January 2026, daily between 11:00 am and 8:00 pm, showcasing diverse saree traditions from across India, providing market access to weavers and advancing the “vocal for local” and “handloom to global” objectives.

7. National Workshop on Good Governance Practices – 5th Edition
Dr. Jitendra Singh, Union Minister of State (Independent Charge) for Science & Technology and Earth Sciences, and MoS in the PMO; Minister of State for Personnel, Public Grievances & Pensions; and MoS for Atomic Energy and Space, will inaugurate a National Workshop on Good Governance Practices at the Civil Services Officers’ Institute, New Delhi, on 25 December 2025.
This is the 5th National Workshop on Good Governance Practices, organised annually during Good Governance Week (19–25 December), to share best practices in citizen-centric administration, administrative reforms and outcome-oriented governance.

8. Commercial Operation of Subansiri Lower Hydroelectric Project Unit-2
Union Minister for Power, Housing and Urban Affairs, Manohar Lal, virtually inaugurated the commercial operation of Unit-2 (250 MW) of the 2,000 MW (8×250 MW) Subansiri Lower Hydroelectric Project.
He noted that the commissioning of this unit is not only a technical achievement but also a testament to years of hard work and teamwork; the project symbolises India’s commitment to clean and sustainable energy, supports the development of the North-Eastern region, strengthens the national grid and advances the country’s net-zero emissions goals.

9. INSv Kaundinya – Revival of Ancient Sailing Traditions
The Indian Navy’s lead sailing vessel built using ancient sail-ship techniques, INSv Kaundinya, will embark on its maiden voyage on 29 December 2025.
Sailing from Porbandar (Gujarat) to Muscat (Oman), the vessel will symbolically retrace historic Indian Ocean maritime routes that have connected India to the wider Indian Ocean world for millennia, showcasing India’s ancient shipbuilding skills and maritime heritage.

10. Akash-NG Missile: User Evaluation Trials Completed
The Defence Research and Development Organisation (DRDO) has successfully completed User Evaluation Trials (UETs) of the Next Generation Akash Missile System (Akash-NG).
During these trials, Akash-NG missiles accurately engaged aerial targets at multiple ranges and altitudes—including low-altitude near-boundary targets and high-altitude long-range scenarios—demonstrating enhanced range, quick reaction capability and robust air-defence performance against modern aerial threats.

11. National Conference on AI Development – “AI Ka Mahakumbh”
A National Conference on the development of Artificial Intelligence, titled “AI ka Mahakumbh”, was organised in New Delhi.
The conference brought together policymakers, industry leaders, start-ups, academics and researchers to deliberate on AI innovation, regulation, ethical and responsible use, its impact on jobs and skills, and the creation of a India-centric AI ecosystem that supports inclusive and sustainable development.
