डिजिटल इंडिया की उपलब्धि / Digital India Milestone

इलेक्ट्रॉनिक्स एवं सूचना प्रौद्योगिकी मंत्रालय (एमईआईटीवाई) के अंतर्गत राष्ट्रीय ई-गवर्नेंस प्रभाग (एनईजीडी) ने डिजिलॉकर और ई-डिस्ट्रिक्ट प्लेटफॉर्म पर ई-गवर्नेंस सेवाओं के अखिल भारतीय समेकन को सक्षम बनाने के जरिए एक और महत्वपूर्ण उपलब्धि अर्जित की है। इस उपलब्धि के साथ, सभी 36 राज्यों और केंद्र शासित प्रदेशों के नागरिक अब कहीं भी, कभी भी लगभग 2,000 डिजिटल सेवाओं का निर्बाध उपयोग कर सकते हैं।
एकीकृत सेवाएं प्रमाणपत्र, कल्याणकारी योजनाओं, सुविधा केन्‍द्र भुगतानों और अन्य आवश्यक सुविधाओं सहित नागरिकों की व्यापक आवश्यकताओं को पूरा करती हैं, जिससे वितरण में सुविधा, दक्षता और पारदर्शिता सुनिश्चित होती है। यह प्रगति डिजिटल इंडिया कार्यक्रम के विज़न को साकार करने, कागज रहित और गतिशील शासन को बढ़ावा देने तथा सतत विकास लक्ष्यों (एसडीजी) में प्रत्यक्ष योगदान देने की दिशा में एक बड़ी छलांग है।
डिजिलॉकर अंतर-संचालनीयता, डेटा सुरक्षा और बहु-हितधारक समन्वय की चुनौतियों का सफलतापूर्वक समाधान करने के माध्‍यम से भारत के डिजिटल सार्वजनिक अवसंरचना एक मजबूत स्तंभ के रूप में उभरा है। इसके नवोन्मेषी और सुदृढ़ ढांचे ने पहुंच में सुगमता, समावेशिता और विश्वसनीयता को संभव बनाया है और देश भर के नागरिकों को विश्वसनीय डिजिटल सेवाओं से सशक्त बनाया है।
एनईजीडी के बारे में
इलेक्ट्रॉनिक्स एवं सूचना प्रौद्योगिकी मंत्रालय ने 2009 में डिजिटल इंडिया कॉर्पोरेशन (एक गैर-लाभकारी संस्था), जो धारा 8 के अंतर्गत आती है, के अंतर्गत एक स्वतंत्र व्यावसायिक प्रभाग के रूप में राष्ट्रीय ई-गवर्नेंस प्रभाग की स्थापना की। 2009 से, एनईजीडी, कार्यक्रम प्रबंधन और ई-गवर्नेंस परियोजनाओं के कार्यान्वयन में इलेक्ट्रॉनिक्स एवं सूचना प्रौद्योगिकी मंत्रालय को सहयोग प्रदान करने में महत्वपूर्ण भूमिका निभा रहा है; यह केंद्र और राज्य दोनों स्तरों पर मंत्रालयों/विभागों के साथ-साथ अन्य सरकारी संगठनों को तकनीकी और परामर्शी सहायता प्रदान करता है।
एनईजीडी के महत्‍वपूर्ण प्रचालनगत क्षेत्रों में प्रमुख डिजिटल इंडिया कार्यक्रम के अंतर्गत कार्यक्रम प्रबंधन, परियोजना विकास, प्रौद्योगिकी प्रबंधन, क्षमता निर्माण, जागरूकता और संचार संबंधी कार्यकलाप शामिल हैं। एनईजीडी ने डिजिलॉकर, एंटिटी लॉकर, उमंग, ओपनफोर्ज, एपीआई सेतु, मायस्कीम, इंडिया स्टैक ग्लोबल, मेरी पहचान, यूएक्‍स4जी आदि जैसे कई राष्ट्रीय सार्वजनिक डिजिटल प्लेटफॉर्म विकसित और प्रबंधित किए हैं।

The National e-Governance Division (NeGD) under the Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology (MeitY) has achieved another significant milestone by enabling pan-India integration of e-Governance services on the DigiLocker and e-District platforms. With this achievement, citizens across all 36 states and union territories can now seamlessly access nearly 2,000 digital services anytime, anywhere.
The integrated services address a wide range of citizen needs, including certificates, welfare schemes, Facilitation Center payments, and other essential services, ensuring convenience, efficiency, and transparency in delivery. This progress is a major leap towards realizing the vision of the Digital India program, promoting paperless and dynamic governance, and directly contributing to the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).
DigiLocker has emerged as a strong pillar of India's digital public infrastructure by successfully addressing the challenges of interoperability, data security, and multi-stakeholder coordination. Its innovative and robust framework has enabled ease of access, inclusiveness, and reliability, empowering citizens across the country with reliable digital services.
About NeGD
The Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology established the National e-Governance Division in 2009 as an independent business unit within Digital India Corporation (a non-profit organization) under Section 8 of the Digital India Act. Since 2009, NeGD has been playing a key role in supporting the Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology in program management and implementation of e-governance projects; it provides technical and consultancy support to ministries/departments at both the central and state levels, as well as other government organizations.
The key operational areas of NeGD include program management, project development, technology management, capacity building, awareness and communication activities under the flagship Digital India program. NeGD has developed and manages several national public digital platforms such as DigiLocker, Entity Locker, Umang, OpenForge, API Setu, MyScheme, India Stack Global, Meri Pehchan, UX4G, etc.
