ECI Issues Directions for Ease of Voting for Persons with Disabilities (PwDs)

4. Inclusive Management:

• 292 polling stations in Bihar will be exclusively managed by Persons with Disabilities, promoting inclusivity in election administration.

मुख्य निर्देश एवं सुविधाएँ:

1. सुगम मतदान केंद्र:

• सभी मतदान केंद्र भूतल या सड़क-स्तर पर स्थापित किए जाएंगे।
• उचित ढलान वाले रैंप की व्यवस्था होगी ताकि व्हीलचेयर उपयोगकर्ताओं को सुविधा मिल सके।

• सभी मतदान केंद्रों पर ब्रेल में डमी मतपत्र (Dummy Ballot Sheet) उपलब्ध रहेंगे, जिससे दृष्टिबाधित मतदाता स्वतंत्र रूप से EVM पर मतदान कर सकें।
• निर्वाचन नियम, 1961 के नियम 49N के अनुसार, दृष्टिबाधित मतदाता अपने साथ सहायक व्यक्ति (companion) ले जा सकते हैं।

• मतदान दिवस पर दिव्यांग मतदाताओं के लिए परिवहन सुविधा उपलब्ध कराई जाएगी।
• दिव्यांग मतदाता Divyang (Saksham) Module of ECINET पर पंजीकरण कर परिवहन और व्हीलचेयर सुविधा का अनुरोध कर सकते हैं।

• बिहार के 292 मतदान केंद्र केवल दिव्यांग जनों द्वारा संचालित किए जाएंगे।
