जीईएम द्वारा फिट इंडिया फ्रीडम रन 6.0 का आयोजन – स्वास्थ्य, फिटनेस और स्वच्छता का उत्सव / GeM Organizes Fit India Freedom Run 6.0 — A Celebration of Health, Fitness, and Cleanliness

यह दौड़ जीवन भारती भवन से शुरू होकर बाबा खड़क सिंह मार्ग, जय सिंह रोड और जनपथ से होते हुए पुनः जीवन भारती भवन पर समाप्त हुई। इस कार्यक्रम में किशोरों से लेकर वरिष्ठ नागरिकों तक सभी आयु वर्ग के लोगों, GeM अधिकारियों और उनके परिजनों ने उत्साहपूर्वक भाग लिया।
इस वर्ष की थीम थी ‘स्वच्छता और स्वास्थ्य’, जिसमें स्वच्छ पर्यावरण और स्वस्थ जीवनशैली के महत्व पर बल दिया गया। इस थीम को वास्तविक रूप देने के लिए GeM ने दौड़ के बाद मार्ग पर सफाई अभियान भी आयोजित किया, जिससे नागरिक जिम्मेदारी और सामूहिक प्रयास का संदेश प्रसारित हुआ।
GeM के मुख्य कार्यकारी अधिकारी श्री मिहिर कुमार ने कहा कि स्वास्थ्य और स्वच्छता राष्ट्रीय प्रगति के मूल में हैं, और एक फिट कार्यबल तथा स्वच्छ वातावरण सुशासन के लिए समान रूप से आवश्यक हैं। उन्होंने बताया कि फिट इंडिया फ्रीडम रन केवल एक अभियान नहीं बल्कि एक सतत प्रतिबद्धता है।
इस आयोजन ने एकता, सामाजिक जागरूकता और सामुदायिक भावना को सशक्त किया, तथा यह संदेश दिया कि फिटनेस और स्वच्छता हमारे दैनिक जीवन का अभिन्न हिस्सा हैं।
फिट इंडिया फ्रीडम रन की शुरुआत वर्ष 2020 में युवा कार्य और खेल मंत्रालय द्वारा की गई थी। यह कार्यक्रम स्वतंत्रता दिवस और गांधी जयंती के अवसर पर नागरिकों को सक्रिय जीवनशैली अपनाने के लिए प्रेरित करता है।
इसका छठा संस्करण, जो 2 से 31 अक्टूबर 2025 तक चल रहा है, 31 अक्टूबर को सरदार वल्लभभाई पटेल की जयंती पर आयोजित यूनिटी रन के साथ संपन्न होगा।
GeM ने ऐसी जन-भागीदारी पहलों के माध्यम से समावेशी कल्याण, स्थिरता और राष्ट्रीय एकता को बढ़ावा देने की अपनी प्रतिबद्धता दोहराई।

The run began from the Jivan Bharati Building, covering routes through Baba Kharak Singh Marg, Jai Singh Road, and Janpath, before concluding back at the Jivan Bharati Building. The event saw enthusiastic participation from people of all age groups—from teenagers to senior citizens—along with GeM officers and their family members.
This year’s edition was held under the theme ‘Swachchhta and Swasthya’ (Cleanliness and Health), emphasizing the importance of maintaining both a clean environment and a healthy lifestyle. Demonstrating the essence of this theme, GeM also organized a post-run cleanliness drive along the route, spreading the message of civic responsibility and collective participation.
GeM CEO Shri Mihir Kumar highlighted that health and hygiene are at the core of national development, and emphasized that both a fit workforce and a clean environment are essential components of good governance. He added that the Fit India Freedom Run is not merely a campaign but a continuous commitment to a healthy nation.
The event successfully fostered unity, social awareness, and community spirit, promoting the values of physical fitness and cleanliness as integral parts of daily life.
The Fit India Freedom Run, launched in 2020 by the Ministry of Youth Affairs and Sports, celebrates Independence Day and Gandhi Jayanti, motivating citizens to adopt active lifestyles. The 6th edition, running from 2nd to 31st October 2025, will conclude with the Unity Run on 31st October, commemorating the birth anniversary of Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel.
GeM reaffirmed its commitment to promoting inclusive well-being, sustainability, and national unity through such participatory initiatives.
