शिखर सम्मेलन का उद्देश्य तुरंत बाध्यकारी नियम बनाने के बजाय दीर्घकालीन एआई शासन के लिए क्रियान्वयन योग्य सिफारिशें तैयार करना है।
भारत सरकार ने एआई शासन में समावेशी और नवाचार-अनुकूल दृष्टिकोण अपनाया है। भारत की एआई रणनीति वैश्विक कानूनी ढाँचों के अध्ययन और व्यापक परामर्श के आधार पर तैयार की गई है। इस रणनीति का प्रमुख स्तंभ विनियमन के प्रति संतुलित और व्यावहारिक तकनीकी-कानूनी दृष्टिकोण है।
भारत 16-20 फरवरी 2026 को नई दिल्ली में भारत-एआई प्रभाव शिखर सम्मेलन 2026 की मेज़बानी करेगा। पहली बार यह वैश्विक एआई शिखर सम्मेलन श्रृंखला किसी विकासशील राष्ट्र में आयोजित हो रही है, जो वैश्विक एआई शासन में अधिक समावेशिता की दिशा में एक परिवर्तन का संकेत है। यह आयोजन यूके एआई सुरक्षा शिखर सम्मेलन, एआई सियोल शिखर सम्मेलन, पेरिस एआई एक्शन शिखर सम्मेलन (जिसमें भारत सह-अध्यक्ष था) और अफ्रीका पर वैश्विक एआई शिखर सम्मेलन के बाद हो रहा है।
शिखर सम्मेलन जिम्मेदार एआई विकास हेतु अंतरराष्ट्रीय सहयोग के सामंजस्य पर केंद्रित है। इसके सात प्रमुख विषयगत लक्ष्य ‘सात चक्र’ कहलाते हैं: मानव पूँजी, समावेशन, सुरक्षित एवं विश्वसनीय एआई, लचीलापन, नवाचार व दक्षता, एआई संसाधनों का लोकतंत्रीकरण, तथा आर्थिक विकास व सामाजिक कल्याण हेतु एआई। इन क्षेत्रों में एआई सुरक्षा, पारदर्शिता, डेटा गवर्नेंस, मानव-केंद्रित विकास और जवाबदेही ढाँचा जैसे मुद्दे शामिल हैं।
शिखर सम्मेलन का उद्देश्य एआई शासन के दीर्घकालीन लक्ष्यों को प्राप्त करने में योगदान देना है। यह जानकारी केंद्रीय इलेक्ट्रॉनिक्स और सूचना प्रौद्योगिकी राज्य मंत्री श्री जितिन प्रसाद ने लोकसभा में प्रस्तुत की।

Rather than enforcing immediate binding regulations, the summit aims to frame long-term actionable recommendations for responsible AI governance.
The Government of India has adopted an inclusive and innovation-friendly approach to AI regulation. India’s AI strategy was formulated through extensive consultations and analysis of global legal frameworks. A key pillar of this strategy is balancing regulation with a practical techno-legal approach.
India will host the India-AI Impact Summit 2026 in New Delhi from 16–20 February 2026. It is significant as it marks the first instance of the global AI summit series being held in a developing country. This reflects a shift toward inclusive global participation in AI governance. The summit follows major global AI forums such as the UK AI Safety Summit, AI Seoul Summit, Paris AI Action Summit (co-chaired by India), and the Global AI Summit on Africa.
The summit emphasises coordinated international cooperation and responsible AI development. Its thematic agenda is organised around seven Chakras, identifying priority areas: Human capital, inclusion, safety and trust in AI, resilience, innovation and efficiency, democratisation of AI resources, and AI for economic growth and social good. Key discussion themes include AI safety, transparency, data governance, accountability frameworks, and human-centred AI.
The summit aims to contribute meaningfully to long-term AI governance outcomes instead of short-term regulatory mandates. The information was provided by Minister of State for Electronics and IT, Jitin Prasada, in the Lok Sabha.
