विषय और प्रमुख उद्देश्य
इस संस्करण का मुख्य विषय है: चलो तमिल सीखें – तमिल करकलम। इसका उद्देश्य भाषा सीखने और युवाओं के शैक्षणिक संवाद के माध्यम से सांस्कृतिक एकता को मजबूत करना है। यह इस विचार पर बल देता है कि भाषाई विविधता राष्ट्रीय एकता को सशक्त बनाती है।
मुख्य पहलें
तमिल करकलम
वाराणसी के स्कूलों में 50 तमिल अध्यापक नियुक्त किए जाएंगे, जो 30 छात्रों के बैच में अल्पकालिक स्पोकन तमिल मॉड्यूल संचालित करेंगे। इस पहल से 1500 छात्र बुनियादी तमिल बोलना सीखेंगे। इसके लिए बीएचयू तमिल विभाग, सीआईआईएल, आईआरसीटीसी एवं प्रशासन सहयोग प्रदान करेंगे।
स्टडी टूर कार्यक्रम
उत्तर प्रदेश के 300 कॉलेज छात्र 10 बैचों में तमिलनाडु का अध्ययन दौरा करेंगे, जिसमें तमिल भाषा कक्षाएं, सांस्कृतिक सत्र तथा काशी–तमिल विरासत से जुड़े स्थलों का भ्रमण शामिल होगा। सभी छात्रों को प्रमाणपत्र मिलेगा।
ऋषि अगस्त्य वाहन अभियान
यह यात्रा 2 दिसम्बर 2025 को तेनकासी से आरम्भ होकर 10 दिसम्बर को काशी पहुँचेगी। यह अभियान ऋषि अगस्त्य और पांडियन राजाओं की परम्परा को सम्मान देता है और तमिल एवं उत्तर भारत के ऐतिहासिक व सांस्कृतिक संबंधों को प्रदर्शित करता है।
समापन समारोह
इस वर्ष का संगमम रामेश्वरम में भव्य समापन समारोह के साथ समाप्त होगा, जो उत्तर से दक्षिण तक की सांस्कृतिक धारा का प्रतीक है।
इतिहास और विकास
2022 में आरम्भ हुए काशी तमिल संगमम के तीन संस्करण सांस्कृतिक आदान-प्रदान, शैक्षणिक संवाद और सभ्यतागत विरासत को सुदृढ़ करते रहे हैं। तीसरा संस्करण ऋषि अगस्त्य पर केन्द्रित था।

काशी तमिल संगमम 4.0 सांस्कृतिक निरंतरता, भाषाई शिक्षा और राष्ट्रीय एकता को मजबूत बनाता है। यह परंपरा, ज्ञान और आधुनिक सहभागिता के माध्यम से उत्तर और दक्षिण के बीच स्थायी संबंधों का निर्माण करता है।
(Theme and Key Focus
The central theme of this edition is “Let’s Learn Tamil – Tamil Karkalam”, highlighting linguistic learning as a tool for national cultural cohesion. This edition places Tamil language education and youth academic interaction at its core and promotes unity through linguistic diversity.
Major Initiatives
Tamil Karkalam
Fifty Tamil teachers fluent in Hindi will be appointed in schools of Varanasi. Each teacher will conduct short-term spoken Tamil modules for batches of 30 students, helping 1,500 young learners learn basic Tamil. Coordination support will be provided by BHU Tamil Department, CIIL Mysuru, IRCTC and local administration.
Tamil Study Tour Programme
Three hundred college students from Uttar Pradesh will travel to Tamil Nadu in ten batches from 2 December 2025. They will participate in orientation and Tamil language classes at CICT Chennai and other major educational institutions and will visit heritage sites symbolising Tamil-Kashi connection. All participants will receive certification.
Rishi Agastya Vehicle Expedition (SAVE)
A symbolic civilizational journey starting from Tenkasi on 2 December 2025 and reaching Kashi on 10 December 2025. The expedition follows paths associated with Rishi Agastya and celebrates the historical and cultural links between Pandyan rule and Kashi. It promotes awareness about Tamil classical literature, Siddha medicine and shared heritage traditions.
Closing Ceremony
This year’s Sangamam will conclude with a grand event in Rameswaram, symbolically completing the civilizational arc from Kashi in North India to the sacred Tamil spiritual destination in the South.
Historical Journey of Sangamam
KTS began in 2022 with Kashi Tamil Sangamam 1.0, inaugurated by the Prime Minister. The following editions expanded scales of participation, academic engagement and cultural experience. KTS 3.0 (February 2025) focused specially on Rishi Agastya and integrated the Indian Knowledge System (IKS) tradition under NEP 2020.
Conclusion
Kashi Tamil Sangamam 4.0 reinforces cultural unity, language-based learning and civilizational continuity. It strengthens national integration by reconnecting communities through heritage, knowledge and shared history.)
