ग्रीन टेक्नोलॉजी में भारत की बड़ी छलांग – ऑल‑इलेक्ट्रिक टग व GTTP
भारत ने हरित‑प्रौद्योगिकी के क्षेत्र में महत्त्वपूर्ण कदम उठाते हुए देश की पहली ऑल‑इलेक्ट्रिक टग परियोजना को हरी झंडी दी, जिसका शुभारंभ केंद्रीय मंत्री सर्बानंद सोनोवाल द्वारा किया गया। ग्रीन टग ट्रांजिशन प्रोग्राम (Green Tug Transition Programme – GTTP) के तहत लक्ष्य वर्ष 2030 तक 50 ग्रीन टग शामिल करने का है, जिनमें से 16 टग वर्ष 2024 से 2027 के बीच पहले चरण में तैनात किए जाएंगे।
पहले चरण में डीपीए, पारादीप पोर्ट प्राधिकरण, जवाहरलाल नेहरू पोर्ट प्राधिकरण (JNPA) और वी.ओ. चिदंबरनार पोर्ट प्राधिकरण (VOCPA) में दो‑दो ग्रीन टग तैनात किए जाएंगे, जबकि शेष आठ प्रमुख बंदरगाहों पर एक‑एक टग लगाया जाएगा। अधिकारियों के अनुसार डीपीए, वीपीए, जेएनपीए और वीओसीपीए पहले ही एक‑एक टग के लिए वर्क ऑर्डर जारी कर चुके हैं और डीपीए निर्माण औपचारिक रूप से शुरू करने वाला पहला बंदरगाह बन गया है।

भूमि संसाधन विभाग की ‘नक्शा’ और ‘लैंडस्टैक’ पर संगोष्ठी
भूमि संसाधन विभाग द्वारा ‘नक्शा’ और ‘लैंडस्टैक’ विषय पर एक संगोष्ठी आयोजित की गई, जिसमें भविष्य की मानचित्रण (mapping) योजनाओं और डिजिटल भूमि अभिलेखों के आधुनिकीकरण पर चर्चा की गई। इस संगोष्ठी का उद्देश्य भू‑मानचित्रण, भूमि रिकॉर्ड के एकीकरण, भू‑स्थानिक डेटा के उपयोग और भूमि प्रशासन को अधिक पारदर्शी तथा कुशल बनाने के उपायों पर विचार‑विमर्श करना था।

कृत्रिम बुद्धिमत्ता (एआई) के लिए स्वदेशी पहल‑विशिष्ट सुपरकंप्यूटर
भारत कृत्रिम बुद्धिमत्ता के लिए स्वदेशी पहल‑विशिष्ट (application‑specific) सुपरकंप्यूटर विकसित करने की दिशा में कार्य कर रहा है। ऐसे सुपरकंप्यूटरों का उद्देश्य एआई मॉडल ट्रेनिंग, बिग‑डेटा विश्लेषण, भाषा तकनीक, स्वास्थ्य, कृषि और शासन से जुड़े एआई अनुप्रयोगों को उच्च क्षमता वाली कम्प्यूटिंग अवसंरचना प्रदान करना है, ताकि एआई में आत्मनिर्भरता और नवाचार को बढ़ावा मिल सके।

ग्राम पंचायतों के लिए एआई टूल ‘सभासार’
सरकार ग्राम पंचायतों के कामकाज में मदद के लिए एआई‑आधारित टूल्स के इस्तेमाल की दिशा में कदम उठा रही है। पंचायती राज मंत्रालय ने 14 अगस्त 2025 को ‘सभासार’ नामक एआई‑पावर्ड मीटिंग‑समरी टूल की शुरुआत की, जो ग्राम सभा और अन्य पंचायत बैठकों की ऑडियो/वीडियो रिकॉर्डिंग से संरचित मिनट्स तैयार करता है। इससे ग्राम पंचायतों के रिकॉर्ड‑प्रबंधन, पारदर्शिता, निर्णय‑अनुसरण और ई‑गवर्नेंस को मजबूती मिलती है।

भारत‑एआई इम्पैक्ट समिट 2026
भारत 16–20 फरवरी 2026 के दौरान नई दिल्ली में भारत‑एआई इम्पैक्ट समिट 2026 की मेज़बानी करेगा। यह पहली बार होगा जब वैश्विक एआई शिखर सम्मेलन श्रृंखला किसी विकासशील देश में आयोजित की जाएगी, जो एक अधिक समावेशी और वैश्विक दक्षिण को सम्मिलित करने वाले एआई संवाद की दिशा में महत्त्वपूर्ण बदलाव को दर्शाता है। इस शिखर सम्मेलन का उद्देश्य नीति‑निर्माताओं, उद्योग, अकादमिक जगत और स्टार्ट‑अप्स को एक मंच पर लाकर जिम्मेदार, न्यायसंगत और विकास‑उन्मुख एआई पारिस्थितिकी तंत्र पर चर्चा को बढ़ावा देना है।

नासा‑इसरो सिंथेटिक एपर्चर रडार (NISAR) का प्रक्षेपण – GSLV‑F16
आंध्र प्रदेश के श्रीहरिकोटा से GSLV‑F16 के माध्यम से नासा‑इसरो सिंथेटिक एपर्चर रडार (NISAR) उपग्रह को 30 जुलाई 2025 को सफलतापूर्वक प्रक्षेपित किया गया। NISAR का उद्देश्य पृथ्वी की सतह में हो रहे सूक्ष्म परिवर्तनों—जैसे हिमचादर, वनों, कृषि, भू‑धसाव और आपदा‑संबंधी घटनाओं—की उच्च‑सटीकता से मैपिंग करना है, जिससे जलवायु परिवर्तन, प्राकृतिक संसाधन प्रबंधन और आपदा प्रबंधन के लिए विश्वसनीय डेटा उपलब्ध हो सके।

India’s leap in Green Technology – All‑Electric Tug & GTTP
India has taken a major step in green technology by launching the country’s first all‑electric tug project, flagged off by Union Minister Sarbananda Sonowal. Under the Green Tug Transition Programme (GTTP), the target is to induct 50 green tugs by 2030, with 16 of them to be deployed in the first phase between 2024 and 2027.
In the first phase, two green tugs each will be deployed at DPA, Paradip Port Authority, Jawaharlal Nehru Port Authority (JNPA) and V.O. Chidambaranar Port Authority (VOCPA), while one tug each will be placed at the remaining eight major ports. Officials have stated that DPA, VPA, JNPA and VOCPA have already issued work orders for one tug each, with DPA becoming the first port to formally begin construction.

Seminar of Department of Land Resources on ‘NAKSHA’ and ‘LandStack’
The Department of Land Resources organised a seminar on ‘NAKSHA’ and ‘LandStack’ to discuss future mapping initiatives. The seminar focused on modernising land records, integrating geospatial data, improving digital mapping and making land administration more transparent and efficient.

Indigenous Application‑Specific Supercomputer for Artificial Intelligence
India is working towards developing an indigenous application‑specific supercomputer for artificial intelligence. Such supercomputers are aimed at supporting AI model training, big‑data analytics and sector‑specific AI applications in areas like language technologies, healthcare, agriculture and governance, thereby boosting innovation and self‑reliance in AI infrastructure.

AI Tool ‘Sabhasaar’ for Gram Panchayats
The government is taking steps to use artificial intelligence tools to assist the functioning of gram panchayats. On 14 August 2025, the Ministry of Panchayati Raj launched ‘Sabhasaar’, an AI‑powered meeting‑summary tool that generates structured minutes of gram sabha and other panchayat meetings using audio/video recordings. This strengthens record‑keeping, transparency, follow‑up of decisions and overall e‑governance in local self‑government bodies.

Bharat‑AI Impact Summit 2026
India will host the Bharat‑AI Impact Summit 2026 in New Delhi from 16 to 20 February 2026. For the first time, the global AI summit series will be held in a developing country, marking a shift towards a more inclusive global AI dialogue that actively involves the Global South. The summit aims to bring together policymakers, industry leaders, academia and start‑ups to discuss a responsible, equitable and development‑oriented AI ecosystem.

Launch of NASA‑ISRO Synthetic Aperture Radar (NISAR) via GSLV‑F16
The NASA‑ISRO Synthetic Aperture Radar (NISAR) satellite was successfully launched on 30 July 2025 from Sriharikota, Andhra Pradesh, aboard GSLV‑F16. NISAR is designed to map minute changes on the Earth’s surface—such as ice sheets, forests, agriculture, land subsidence and disaster‑related events—with high precision, providing critical data for climate change studies, natural resource management and disaster risk reduction.
