Exercise Konkan – 2025 Begins off India’s Western Coast

The bilateral maritime exercise “KONKAN – 2025” between the Indian Navy and the Royal Navy (UK) commenced on 05 October 2025 off the western coast of India. Over the past two decades, this exercise has grown significantly in scale and complexity, reflecting the enhanced interoperability and mutual understanding between the two navies in maritime operations.

The exercise will be conducted from 05 to 12 October 2025, in two phases:
1.    Harbour Phase
2.    Sea Phase

भारत के पश्चिमी तट पर ‘अभ्यास कोंकण – 2025’ आरंभ
भारतीय नौसेना और रॉयल नेवी (यूनाइटेड किंगडम) के बीच द्विपक्षीय समुद्री अभ्यास ‘कोंकण – 2025’ की शुरुआत 05 अक्टूबर 2025 को भारत के पश्चिमी तट पर हुई।
पिछले दो दशकों में इस अभ्यास का आकार और जटिलता दोनों ही काफी बढ़े हैं, जिससे दोनों नौसेनाओं के बीच समुद्री अभियानों में पारस्परिकता और आपसी समझ को मजबूती मिली है।
अवधि और चरण
यह अभ्यास 05 से 12 अक्टूबर 2025 तक दो चरणों में आयोजित किया जा रहा है:
1.    बंदरगाह चरण (Harbour Phase)
2.    समुद्री चरण (Sea Phase)

यह अभ्यास मुक्त, सुरक्षित और खुले समुद्रों को सुनिश्चित करने के प्रति भारत और ब्रिटेन की साझी प्रतिबद्धता को दोहराता है।
