1.    प्रारंभ और उद्देश्य:
सामाजिक न्याय एवं अधिकारिता विभाग ने 23 सितंबर 2025 को नई दिल्ली के डॉ. अंबेडकर अंतर्राष्ट्रीय केंद्र में “सहज – वृद्ध मित्र टूलकिट” और “श्रृंखला हम – अनुभव और उत्साह का संगम” (द्वितीय संस्करण) का शुभारंभ किया।
इन पहलों का उद्देश्य वरिष्ठ नागरिकों के कल्याण को बढ़ावा देना, पीढ़ियों के बीच संबंधों को मज़बूत करना और समुदाय आधारित वृद्ध देखभाल के नवोन्मेषी मॉडलों को प्रोत्साहित करना है।
2.    “सहज – वृद्ध मित्र टूलकिट” के बारे में:
•    इसे सोसाइटी ऑफ कम्युनिटी हेल्थ ओरिएंटेड ऑपरेशनल लिंक्स (SCHOOL) के सहयोग से विकसित किया गया।
•    यह समुदाय-आधारित उपयोगकर्ता अनुकूल संसाधन है जो नीतियों और नागरिकों के बीच सेतु का कार्य करता है।
•    इसका दृष्टिकोण बुजुर्गों को लाभार्थी नहीं बल्कि सामुदायिक जीवन के सक्रिय भागीदार के रूप में देखता है।
3.    “श्रृंखला हम” वार्ता श्रृंखला:
•    वर्ष 2024 में “गरिमा के साथ वृद्धावस्था” विषय पर प्रारंभ हुई।
•    2025 संस्करण का विषय “अनुभव और उत्साह का संगम” है जो वरिष्ठ नागरिकों की वास्तविक कहानियों और सामुदायिक मॉडलों को प्रस्तुत करता है।
•    यह “मैं” से “हम” की ओर बढ़ते परिवर्तनकारी विचार को प्रोत्साहित करता है।
4.    नवोन्मेषी सामुदायिक मॉडल:
•    मेहसाणा (गुजरात) का सामुदायिक रसोईघर – बुजुर्गों के लिए साझा भोजन और वार्ता का स्थान।
•    पीको फार्म स्टे (तमिलनाडु) – परिवार आधारित जैविक खेती और ग्रामीण रोजगार को बढ़ावा देने वाला मॉडल।
•    मैत्री गृह – मित्रता और परिवार को एकजुट कर वरिष्ठ नागरिकों के लिए अपनापन पैदा करने वाला केंद्र।
महत्व:
•    यह पहल भारत में सम्मानजनक और समावेशी वृद्धावस्था के प्रति प्रतिबद्धता का प्रतीक है।
•    विभाग एक ऐसे राष्ट्रीय इकोसिस्टम के निर्माण के लिए कार्यरत है जहाँ वृद्ध नागरिक जुड़े रहें, सम्मानित हों और सशक्त बने रहें।

2.    About “Sahaj – Vriddh Mitra Toolkit”:

•    Designed as a user-friendly, community-based resource to support the elderly at the grassroots level.
•    Focuses on empathy-driven policy implementation where the elderly are seen as active community participants rather than mere beneficiaries.
3.    “Shrankhla Hum” Talk Series:
•    Launched in 2024 under the theme “Aging with Dignity”.
•    The 2025 edition emphasizes collective responsibility towards senior citizens by showcasing real-life stories and community models of elder engagement.
•    Promotes transformation from “I” to “We”, symbolizing shared responsibility and collective compassion.
4.    Innovative Community Models:
•    Poonambhai Patel’s Kitchen (Gujarat) – A shared cooking and storytelling space for senior citizens.
•    PICO Farm Stay (Tamil Nadu) – A family-led organic farm promoting intergenerational bonding and rural employment.
•    Maitri Griha – A model combining friendship and family for elderly inclusion.
5.    Broader Significance:
The initiatives reflect India’s commitment to inclusive and dignified aging.
The department is developing a nationwide ecosystem for elderly inclusion, empowerment, and respect, integrating civil society and state initiatives.
