Key Features
The mela hosts 75 stalls showcasing metal crafts, woodwork, cane and bamboo products, pottery, textiles, and other handmade items from more than 13 states. It serves as a major marketplace that connects artisans with urban and international buyers.
Focus on Marginalized Artisans
A significant emphasis is placed on artisans belonging to Scheduled Castes, Other Backward Classes, and Safai Mitra communities. The event promotes inclusivity and helps enhance livelihood opportunities for these groups.
Inauguration
The event was inaugurated by the Union Minister of Social Justice and Empowerment, Dr. Virendra Kumar, in the presence of Minister of State Ramdas Athawale, MP P. C. Mohan, and senior officials of the central and state governments.
Cultural Programmes
Every evening, cultural performances such as folk dances, traditional music, and storytelling transform the mela into a vibrant cultural festival. These programmes reflect India’s unity in diversity.

मुख्य विशेषताएं
मेले में 75 स्टॉल लगाए गए हैं जिनमें धातु शिल्प, लकड़ी की कलाकृतियां, बेंत और बांस उत्पाद, मिट्टी के बर्तन, वस्त्र तथा 13 से अधिक राज्यों की हस्तशिल्प वस्तुएं प्रदर्शित हैं। यह कारीगरों को शहरी और अंतरराष्ट्रीय बाजारों से जोड़ने का अवसर प्रदान करता है।
वंचित समुदायों पर ध्यान
मेले का एक प्रमुख उद्देश्य अनुसूचित जाति, अन्य पिछड़ा वर्ग और सफाई मित्र समुदायों के कारीगरों की कला को बढ़ावा देना है। यह समावेश और उनकी आजीविका सुदृढ़ करने की दिशा में महत्वपूर्ण पहल है।
उद्घाटन
इस मेले का उद्घाटन केंद्रीय सामाजिक न्याय एवं अधिकारिता मंत्री डॉ. वीरेंद्र कुमार ने किया। उनके साथ राज्य मंत्री रामदास अठावले, सांसद पी. सी. मोहन तथा केंद्र और राज्य सरकारों के वरिष्ठ अधिकारी उपस्थित थे।
सांस्कृतिक कार्यक्रम
हर शाम मेले में लोक नृत्य, पारंपरिक संगीत और कथा वाचन जैसे सांस्कृतिक कार्यक्रम आयोजित किए जाते हैं, जो इस आयोजन को एक उत्सवमय माहौल प्रदान करते हैं और भारत की सांस्कृतिक विविधता को दर्शाते हैं।
