नए जमाने के राजमार्गों का मार्ग प्रशस्तीकरण

भारत का सड़क नेटवर्क 63 लाख किलोमीटर से अधिक है और यह विश्व में दूसरा सबसे बड़ा नेटवर्क है। राष्ट्रीय राजमार्गों की लंबाई 2013 से 2025 के बीच 60 प्रतिशत बढ़कर 146204 किलोमीटर हो गई है। यह तेजी से बढ़ता नेटवर्क डिजिटल प्रबंधन और निगरानी की आवश्यकता को बढ़ाता है। सरकार ने DPR, निर्माण, रखरखाव, टोल संग्रह और नेटवर्क प्रबंधन के हर चरण में डिजिटल परिवर्तन लागू किया है।
डिजिटल टोल संग्रह का विस्तार
फास्टैग ने टोल संग्रह प्रणाली में बड़ा बदलाव लाया है। लगभग 98 प्रतिशत वाहन इसका उपयोग कर रहे हैं। फास्टैग एक RFID आधारित टैग है जो वाहन के गुजरते ही टोल भुगतान स्वतः कर देता है। फास्टैग वार्षिक पास ने भी यात्रा को आसान बना दिया है। इसके लगभग 25 लाख उपयोगकर्ता हैं और दो महीनों में 5.76 करोड़ से अधिक लेनदेन दर्ज हुए।
सरकार ने नए नियम लागू किए हैं जिनके तहत नकद भुगतान करने वाले उपयोगकर्ताओं से दोगुना टोल और UPI से भुगतान करने वालों से 1.25 गुना शुल्क लिया जाएगा। इससे डिजिटल भुगतान को बढ़ावा मिलेगा। अगस्त 2025 में गुजरात में पहला MLFF सिस्टम शुरू हुआ है जिससे टोल संग्रह बिना रोके किया जा सकता है।
राजमार्गयात्रा ऐप
यह एक नागरिक-केंद्रित एप्लिकेशन है जिसमें राजमार्गों की स्थिति, टोल प्लाज़ा, पेट्रोल पंप, अस्पताल, मौसम आदि की जानकारी रीयल टाइम में मिलती है। इस ऐप में शिकायत दर्ज करने, फोटो अपलोड करने, और स्थिति की निगरानी करने की सुविधा है। इसे 15 लाख से अधिक बार डाउनलोड किया जा चुका है और इसे 4.5 रेटिंग मिली है।
NHAI One
यह एनएचएआई का आंतरिक प्रबंधन ऐप है जो फील्ड स्टाफ, निर्माण कार्य, सड़क सुरक्षा, शौचालय रखरखाव और निरीक्षण कार्यों को जोड़ता है। जियो-टैगिंग और टाइम स्टैम्पिंग जैसी सुविधाओं से यह जवाबदेही बढ़ाता है और परियोजनाओं की प्रगति का सही रिकॉर्ड सुनिश्चित करता है।
जीआईएस और पीएम गति शक्ति
जीआईएस आधारित पोर्टल PM Gati Shakti पर पूरे राष्ट्रीय राजमार्ग नेटवर्क का डिजिटल मानचित्र तैयार किया गया है। इस पोर्टल में 550 से अधिक लाइव डेटा लेयर हैं जो राजमार्गों की योजना, भूमि उपयोग, पर्यावरणीय विश्लेषण और लॉजिस्टिक्स प्रबंधन को सरल बनाते हैं।
बुद्धिमत्तापूर्ण परिवहन प्रणाली
भारत में एटीएमएस और V2X आधारित स्मार्ट यातायात प्रणाली लागू की जा रही है। ये तकनीकें घटनाओं का पता लगाने, दुर्घटनाओं को रोकने और ट्रैफिक प्रबंधन में महत्वपूर्ण भूमिका निभा रही हैं। दिल्ली मेरठ एक्सप्रेसवे और बेंगलुरु मैसूर एक्सप्रेसवे पर दुर्घटनाओं में कमी देखी गई है।
पर्यावरणीय अनुकूलन
हरित राजमार्ग मिशन के तहत अब तक 4.69 करोड़ पेड़ लगाए गए हैं। एनएचएआई ने जल निकायों का पुनरुद्धार किया है और पुनर्नवीनीकृत सामग्री जैसे फ्लाई ऐश, प्लास्टिक कचरा आदि का उपयोग बढ़ाया है।

भारत के राजमार्ग अब केवल सड़कें नहीं, बल्कि डिजिटल, स्मार्ट और संवहनीय परिवर्तन के माध्यम बन रहे हैं। GIS आधारित योजना, स्मार्ट टोलिंग, मोबाइल ऐप, ग्रीन टेक्नोलॉजी और उन्नत यातायात प्रबंधन ने उन्हें स्मार्ट कॉरिडोर में बदल दिया है।

FASTag has transformed electronic toll collection. Nearly 98 percent of vehicles use it. FASTag uses RFID technology to deduct toll automatically without stopping. The FASTag annual pass has enabled seamless travel, with over 25 lakh users completing more than 5.76 crore transactions in two months.
New rules applicable from November 2025 introduce double toll for cash users and 1.25 times for UPI users. India launched its first MLFF system on NH48, enabling barrier-free tolling through RFID and cameras.
RajmargYatra App
This citizen-focused app provides real-time information on road conditions, toll plazas, fuel stations, hospitals and weather. Users can submit geo-tagged complaints and track progress. It has more than 15 lakh downloads and a rating of 4.5.
NHAI One
This internal management platform integrates field staff attendance, highway maintenance, road safety audits, sanitation monitoring and construction inspections. It enhances accountability through geo-tagging and real-time updates.
GIS and PM Gati Shakti
The entire National Highway network has been mapped on the GIS-driven PM Gati Shakti portal. With over 550 data layers, it supports integrated planning, environmental analysis and logistics improvement.
Intelligent Transport Systems
India is implementing ATMS and V2X technologies for smart traffic management. These systems detect incidents, reduce accidents and support emergency response. Major expressways like Delhi Meerut and Bengaluru Mysuru have shown reductions in accident-related deaths.
Environmental Sustainability
Under the Green Highways Mission, more than 4.69 crore trees have been planted. NHAI has restored water bodies and used recycled materials like fly ash and plastic waste for highway construction.
