कृत्रिम बुद्धिमत्ता क्या है?
कृत्रिम बुद्धिमत्ता (एआई) वह क्षमता है जो मशीनों को ऐसे कार्य करने में सक्षम बनाती है जिनके लिए सामान्यतः मानव बुद्धिमत्ता की आवश्यकता होती है। यह सिस्‍टम्‍स को अनुभव से सीखने, नई परिस्थितियों के अनुकूल ढलने, और जटिल समस्याओं को स्वतंत्र रूप से हल करने में सक्षम बनाती है। एआई डेटा सेट, एल्गोरिदम और बड़े भाषा मॉडल का उपयोग करके जानकारी का विश्लेषण करता है, पैटर्न पहचानता है, और प्रतिक्रियाएँ उत्पन्न करता है। समय के साथ, ये सिस्‍टम्‍स अपनी प्रदर्शन क्षमता में सुधार करती हैं, जिससे वे मनुष्‍यों के समान तर्क कर सकें, निर्णय ले सकें, और संवाद कर सकें।
वर्तमान में भारत में एआई इकोसिस्टम:
भारत का प्रौद्योगिकी क्षेत्र तेजी से विस्तार कर रहा है, इस वर्ष इसके वार्षिक राजस्व के 280 बिलियन अमेरिकी डॉलर का आंकड़ा पार कर जाने का अनुमान है।
देश में 1,800 से अधिक वैश्विक क्षमता केंद्र हैं, जिनमें 500 से अधिक एआई पर केंद्रित हैं।
एआई अपनाने में अग्रणी क्षेत्र हैं: औद्योगिक और ऑटोमोटिव, उपभोक्ता वस्तुएँ और खुदरा क्षेत्र, बैंकिंग, वित्तीय सेवाएँ तथा बीमा और स्वास्थ्य सेवा। ये मिलकर एआई के कुल मूल्य का लगभग 60 प्रतिशत का योगदान करते हैं।
भारत दुनिया का तीसरा सबसे एआई-प्रतिस्पर्धी देश है:
स्टैनफोर्ड विश्वविद्यालय के 2025 ग्लोबल एआई वाइब्रेंसी टूल की रिपोर्ट के अनुसार, भारत ने कृत्रिम बुद्धिमत्ता प्रतिस्पर्धात्मकता में वैश्विक स्तर पर तीसरा स्थान हासिल किया है। यह रैंकिंग वैश्विक एआई परिदृश्य में भारत के तेज़ विकास को उजागर करती है।
जीपीयू क्या है?
जीपीयू या ग्राफ़िक्स प्रोसेसिंग यूनिट एक शक्तिशाली कंप्यूटर चिप है जो मशीनों को तेज़ी से सोचने, छवियों को संसाधित करने, एआई प्रोग्राम चलाने, और जटिल कार्यों को सामान्य प्रोसेसर की तुलना में अधिक कुशलता से संभालने में मदद करती है।
इंडियाएआई मिशन के सात स्तंभ हैं:
1. इंडियाएआई कंप्यूट स्तंभ
यह स्तंभ किफायती लागतों पर उच्च-स्तरीय जीपीयू उपलब्‍ध कराता है। जैसा कि पहले बताया गया, 38,000 से अधिक जीपीयू शामिल किए गए हैं। ये जीपीयू केवल ₹65 प्रति घंटा की सब्सिडी दर पर उपलब्ध हैं।
2. इंडियाएआई एप्लिकेशन डिवेलपमेंट पहल
यह स्तंभ विशिष्ट रूप से भारत की चुनौतियों के लिए एआई एप्‍लीकेशन विकसित करता है। इसमें स्वास्थ्य सेवा, कृषि, जलवायु परिवर्तन, शासन, और सहायक शिक्षण प्रौद्योगिकियां शामिल हैं। जुलाई 2025 तक तीस एप्‍लीकेशंस को मंजूरी दी गई है। मंत्रालयों और संस्थानों के साथ क्षेत्र-विशिष्ट हैकथॉन आयोजित किए जाते हैं। उदाहरण के लिए, साइबरगार्ड एआई हैकथॉन साइबरसुरक्षा के लिए एआई समाधान विकसित करने में मदद करता है।
3. एआईकोश (डेटासेट प्लेटफ़ॉर्म)
एआईकोश एआई मॉडल्स के प्रशिक्षण के लिए बड़े डेटासेट विकसित करता है। यह सरकारी और गैर-सरकारी स्रोतों से डेटा एकीकृत करता है। इस प्लेटफ़ॉर्म में 20 क्षेत्रों में 5,500 से अधिक डेटासेट और 251 एआई मॉडल्स हैं। ये संसाधन डेवलपर्स को बुनियादी मॉड्यूल बनाने के बजाय एआई समाधान पर ध्यान केंद्रित करने में मदद करते हैं। दिसंबर 2025 तक प्लेटफ़ॉर्म पर 385,000 से अधिक विज़िट्स, 11,000 पंजीकृत उपयोगकर्ता, और 26,000 डाउनलोड हुए हैं।
4. इंडियाएआई फाउंडेशन मॉडल्स
यह स्तंभ भारतीय डेटा और भाषाओं का उपयोग करके भारत के अपने बड़े मल्टीमॉडल मॉडल्स विकसित करता है। यह जनरेटिव एआई में संप्रभु क्षमता और वैश्विक प्रतिस्पर्धात्मकता सुनिश्चित करता है। इंडियाएआई को 500 से अधिक प्रस्ताव प्राप्त हुए। पहले और दूसरे चरण में बारह स्टार्टअप्स को चुना गया: सर्वम् एआई, सॉकेट एआई, ज्ञानी एआई, गण एआई, अवतार एआई, आईआईटी बॉम्बे कंसोर्टियम – भारतजेन, ज़ेंटीक (Zenteiq), जेन लूप, इंटेलिहेल्थ, शोध एआई, फ्रैक्टल एनालिटिक्स, टेक महिंद्रा मेकर्स लैब।
5. इंडियाएआई फ़्यूचर स्किल्‍स
यह स्तंभ एआई-कुशल पेशेवर तैयार करता है। 500 पीएचडी फेलो, 5,000 स्‍नात्‍कोत्‍तर और 8,000 स्‍नातकों को समर्थन प्रदान किया जाता है। जुलाई 2025 तक 200 से अधिक छात्रों को फेलोशिप मिली। 73 संस्थान पीएचडी छात्रों को शामिल कर रहे हैं। टियर 2 और टियर 3 शहरों में डेटा और एआई लैब्स स्थापित की जा रही हैं। 31 लैब एनआईईएलआईटी और उद्योग साझेदारों के साथ लॉन्च की गई हैं। राज्यों और केंद्र शासित प्रदेशों ने लैब के लिए 174 आईटीआई और पॉलिटेक्निक को नामित किया है।
6. इंडियाएआई स्टार्टअप वित्तपोषण
यह स्तंभ एआई स्टार्टअप्स को वित्तीय सहायता प्रदान करता है। इंडियाएआई स्टार्टअप्स ग्लोबल प्रोग्राम मार्च 2025 में लॉन्च किया गया। यह 10 भारतीय स्टार्टअप्स को स्टेशन एफ और एचईसी पेरिस के सहयोग से यूरोपीय बाजार तक विस्‍तृत करने में मदद करता है।
7. सुरक्षित और विश्वसनीय एआई
यह स्तंभ मजबूत शासन के साथ जिम्मेदार एआई एडॉप्‍शन सुनिश्चित करता है। रुचि पत्र (एक्सप्रेशन ऑफ इंटरेस्ट) के माध्यम से 13 परियोजनाओं को चुना और प्रारंभ किया गया है। ये मशीन अनलर्निंग, पूर्वाग्रह शमन, निजता-संरक्षित मशन लर्निंग, व्याख्यात्मकता, ऑडिटिंग, और शासन परीक्षण पर केंद्रित हैं। 9 मई 2025 को साझेदार संस्थानों को इंडियाएआई सुरक्षा संस्थान में शामिल होने के लिए एक अतिरिक्त रुचि पत्र प्रकाशित किया गया।

इंडिया मोबाइल कांग्रेस 2025 में एआई:
9वें इंडिया मोबाइल कांग्रेस - जिसका उद्घाटन प्रधानमंत्री श्री नरेंद्र मोदी ने 8 अक्टूबर 2025 को यशोभूमि, नई दिल्ली में किया - में कृत्रिम बुद्धिमत्ता का मुख्य स्थान रहा। दूरसंचार विभाग और सीओएआई द्वारा आयोजित यह कार्यक्रम 8 से 11 अक्टूबर तक “इनोवेट टू ट्रांसफॉर्म” थीम के तहत आयोजित किया गया।

दैनिक जीवन और कार्य में एआई:
कृत्रिम बुद्धिमत्ता नवाचार की एक नई लहर चला रही है जो दैनिक जीवन के हर हिस्से को प्रभावित करती है, स्वास्थ्य सेवा और कृषि से लेकर शिक्षा, शासन, और जलवायु पूर्वानुमान तक। 
इस परिवर्तन के केंद्र में बड़ा भाषा मॉडल (एलएलएम – लार्ज लैंग्‍वेज मॉडल) है। यह एक उन्नत एआई प्रणाली है, जो विशाल डेटा से सीखकर मनुष्‍य के समान टैक्‍स्‍ट को समझने और उत्पन्न करने में सक्षम होती है। 
भारत का एआई दृष्टिकोण केवल प्रौद्योगिकी तक सीमित नहीं है, यह समावेशन और सशक्तिकरण पर केंद्रित है। राष्ट्रीय पहलों और वैश्विक सहयोग के माध्यम से, एआई का उपयोग वास्तविक दुनिया की चुनौतियों को हल करने, सार्वजनिक सेवाओं को बेहतर बनाने, और हर नागरिक के लिए अवसरों को अधिक सुलभ बनाने में किया जा रहा है। ग्रामीण स्वास्थ्य सेवाओं में सुधार करने और मौसम पैटर्न की भविष्यवाणी करने से लेकर न्यायालय के निर्णयों का क्षेत्रीय भाषाओं में अनुवाद करने तक, एआई प्रगति हेतु एक ऐसे सशक्‍त सहयोगी के रूप में उभर रहा है, जो एक डिजिटली सशक्त और न्‍यायसंगत भारत के निर्माण में मदद करता है। कुछ प्रमुख क्षेत्र जहाँ एआई दैनिक जीवन को बेहतर बना रहा है, वे हैं:
स्वास्थ्य सेवा:
एआई स्वास्थ्य सेवा प्रदायगी को बदल रहा है। यह चिकित्‍सकों को बीमारियों का जल्दी पता लगाने, चिकित्सा स्कैन का विश्लेषण करने, और व्यक्तिगत उपचार की सिफारिश करने में मदद करता है। एआई-संचालित टेलीमेडिसिन प्लेटफ़ॉर्म ग्रामीण क्षेत्रों के मरीजों को शीर्ष अस्पतालों के विशेषज्ञों से जोड़ते हैं, जिससे समय और लागत बचती है और उपचार की गुणवत्ता बेहतर होती है।
कृषि:
किसानों के लिए एआई एक विश्वसनीय डिजिटल साथी है। यह मौसम की भविष्यवाणी करता है, कीट हमलों का पता लगाता है, और सिंचाई व बुआई के लिए उपयुक्त समय सुझाता है। कृषि और किसान कल्याण मंत्रालय एआई का उपयोग किसान ई-मित्र जैसी पहलों के माध्यम से कर रहा है। यह एक वर्चुअल असिस्टेंट है, जो किसानों को प्रधानमंत्री किसान सम्मान निधि जैसी सरकारी योजनाओं तक पहुँचने में मदद करता है।
शिक्षा और कौशल विकास:
एआई को भारत की शिक्षा प्रणाली में शामिल किया जा रहा है, जिससे ज्ञानार्जन अधिक समावेशी, आकर्षक, और भविष्य के अनुकूल हो सके। राष्ट्रीय शिक्षा नीति (एनईपी) 2020 के तहत, केंद्रीय माध्यमिक शिक्षा बोर्ड (सीबीएसई) कक्षा VI से 15 घंटे का एआई कौशल मॉड्यूल और कक्षा IX से XII तक वैकल्पिक एआई विषय प्रदान करता है।
मौसम पूर्वानुमान और जलवायु सेवाएँ:
एआई भारत की प्राकृतिक घटनाओं की भविष्यवाणी और प्रतिक्रिया क्षमता को मजबूत कर रहा है। भारतीय मौसम विभाग एआई-आधारित मॉडल्स का उपयोग वर्षा, धुंध, बिजली, और आग का पूर्वानुमान लगाने के लिए करता है।

What is Artificial Intelligence?
Artificial intelligence (AI) is the ability that enables machines to perform tasks that typically require human intelligence. It allows systems to learn from experience, adapt to new situations, and solve complex problems independently. AI analyzes information, recognizes patterns, and generates responses using data sets, algorithms, and large language models. Over time, these systems improve their performance, enabling them to reason, make decisions, and communicate in ways similar to humans.

The Current AI Ecosystem in India:
India's technology sector is rapidly expanding, with its annual revenue projected to exceed US$280 billion this year.
The country has over 1,800 global capability centers, with more than 500 focused on AI.
Leading sectors in AI adoption are: industrial and automotive, consumer goods and retail, banking, financial services and insurance, and healthcare. Together, these contribute approximately 60 percent of the total value of AI.
India is the world's third most AI-competitive country:
According to Stanford University's 2025 Global AI Vibrancy Tool report, India has secured the third position globally in artificial intelligence competitiveness. This ranking highlights India's rapid growth in the global AI landscape.

What is a GPU?
A GPU, or Graphics Processing Unit, is a powerful computer chip that helps machines think faster, process images, run AI programs, and handle complex tasks more efficiently than general-purpose processors.

The IndiaAI Mission has seven pillars:
1. IndiaAI Compute Pillar
This pillar provides access to high-end GPUs at affordable costs. As mentioned earlier, over 38,000 GPUs have been included. These GPUs are available at a subsidized rate of only ₹65 per hour.
2. IndiaAI Application Development Initiative
This pillar specifically develops AI applications for India's challenges. This includes healthcare, agriculture, climate change, governance, and assistive learning technologies. Thirty applications have been approved by July 2025. Sector-specific hackathons are conducted with ministries and institutions. For example, the CyberGuard AI Hackathon helps develop AI solutions for cybersecurity.
3. AIKosh (Dataset Platform)
AIKosh develops large datasets for training AI models. It integrates data from government and non-government sources. The platform has over 5,500 datasets and 251 AI models across 20 sectors. These resources help developers focus on AI solutions rather than building foundational modules. By December 2025, the platform had over 385,000 visits, 11,000 registered users, and 26,000 downloads.
4. IndiaAI Foundation Models
This pillar develops India's own large multimodal models using Indian data and languages. This ensures sovereign capability and global competitiveness in generative AI. IndiaAI received over 500 proposals. Twelve startups were selected in the first and second phases: Sarvam AI, Socket AI, Gyani AI, Gan AI, Avataar AI, IIT Bombay Consortium – BharatGen, Zenteiq, Gen Loop, Intelihealth, Shodh AI, Fractal Analytics, Tech Mahindra Makers Lab.
5. IndiaAI Future Skills
This pillar develops AI-skilled professionals. 500 PhD fellows, 5,000 postgraduate, and 8,000 undergraduate students are being supported. Over 200 students received fellowships by July 2025. 73 institutions are enrolling PhD students. Data and AI labs are being established in Tier 2 and Tier 3 cities. 31 labs have been launched with NIELIT and industry partners. States and Union Territories have nominated 174 ITIs and Polytechnics for the labs.
6. IndiaAI Startup Funding
This pillar provides financial assistance to AI startups. The IndiaAI Startups Global Program was launched in March 2025. It helps 10 Indian startups expand into the European market in collaboration with Station F and HEC Paris.
7. Safe and Reliable AI
This pillar ensures responsible AI adoption with robust governance. 13 projects have been selected and initiated through an Expression of Interest. These focus on machine unlearning, bias mitigation, privacy-preserving machine learning, explainability, auditing, and governance testing. An additional Expression of Interest was published on May 9, 2025, for partner institutions to join the IndiaAI Safety Institute.
AI at India Mobile Congress 2025:
Artificial intelligence took center stage at the 9th India Mobile Congress, inaugurated by Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi on October 8, 2025, at Yashobhoomi, New Delhi. Organized by the Department of Telecommunications and COAI, the event was held from October 8 to 11 under the theme “Innovate to Transform.”

AI in Daily Life and Work:
Artificial intelligence is driving a new wave of innovation that impacts every aspect of daily life, from healthcare and agriculture to education, governance, and climate forecasting.
At the heart of this transformation are large language models.
(LLM – Large Language Model) This is an advanced AI system capable of understanding and generating human-like text by learning from vast amounts of data.
India's AI approach is not limited to technology; it is centered on inclusion and empowerment. Through national initiatives and global collaborations, AI is being used to solve real-world challenges, improve public services, and make opportunities more accessible to every citizen. From improving rural healthcare and predicting weather patterns to translating court judgments into regional languages, AI is emerging as a powerful ally for progress, helping to build a digitally empowered and equitable India. Some key areas where AI is improving daily life include:
Healthcare:
AI is transforming healthcare delivery. It helps doctors detect diseases earlier, analyze medical scans, and recommend personalized treatments. AI-powered telemedicine platforms connect patients in rural areas with specialists at top hospitals, saving time and costs and improving the quality of care.
Agriculture:
AI is a reliable digital partner for farmers. It predicts weather patterns, detects pest infestations, and suggests optimal times for irrigation and sowing. The Ministry of Agriculture and Farmers Welfare is utilizing AI through initiatives like Kisan E-Mitra, a virtual assistant that helps farmers access government schemes such as the Pradhan Mantri Kisan Samman Nidhi.
Education and Skill Development:
AI is being integrated into India's education system, making learning more inclusive, engaging, and future-ready. Under the National Education Policy (NEP) 2020, the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) offers a 15-hour AI skills module from Class VI and an optional AI subject from Classes IX to XII.
Weather Forecasting and Climate Services:
AI is strengthening India's ability to predict and respond to natural events. The Indian Meteorological Department uses AI-based models to forecast rainfall, fog, lightning, and fires.
