Review of the World's Largest Food Grain Storage Plan

Review Meeting: A review meeting for the world's largest food grain storage plan in the cooperative sector was held.
Objective: The plan aims to increase the income of Primary Agricultural Credit Societies (PACS) and generate employment opportunities in rural areas, thereby promoting the country's economic growth.

PACS Participation: Emphasis was placed on ensuring the active and extensive participation of PACS to ensure their financial viability and social effectiveness.
Credit Facility: A directive was given for prompt action to improve the financial condition of PACS by extending the loan period under the Agricultural Infrastructure Fund (AIF).
Warehouse Linkage: Instructions were given to the Food Corporation of India (FCI), NCCF, NAFED, and State Warehousing Corporations to link as many PACS as possible with their warehouses.
Supply Chain: It was decided to connect as many PACS as possible, including state-level marketing federations, to the scheme to develop a complete cooperative supply chain.
Significance: The plan was described as a crucial step towards achieving the goals of 'Atmanirbhar Bharat' and 'Sahakar Se Samriddhi' (Prosperity through Cooperation).
Attendance: The meeting was attended by officials from the Ministries of Cooperation, Food and Public Distribution, and Consumer Affairs, along with representatives from FCI, NABARD, NCDC, and other organizations.

गोदामों का जुड़ाव: भारतीय खाद्य निगम (FCI), NCCF, NAFED और राज्य वेयरहाउसिंग कॉरपोरेशन को अधिक से अधिक PACS को अपने गोदामों से जोड़ने के लिए कहा गया।
आपूर्ति श्रृंखला: एक संपूर्ण सहकारी आपूर्ति श्रृंखला विकसित करने के लिए राज्य स्तरीय मार्केटिंग फेडरेशन सहित अधिक से अधिक PACS को योजना से जोड़ने का निर्णय लिया गया।
महत्व: इस योजना को 'आत्मनिर्भर भारत' और 'सहकार से समृद्धि' के लक्ष्य को पूरा करने की दिशा में एक महत्वपूर्ण कदम बताया गया।
उपस्थिति: बैठक में सहकारिता, खाद्य एवं सार्वजनिक वितरण मंत्रालय, उपभोक्ता मंत्रालय, FCI, नाबार्ड, NCDC और अन्य संगठनों के अधिकारी मौजूद थे।
